Today we went to see Toopy and Binoo in St. Laurent Centre in Ottawa. The show was at 11 am, so we got up and get ready at around 7:15 in the morning so that we'll be on the road by 8am. It was a crazy 2 hour drive.
Watching the show was actually our surprise to our son. I just told him that we need to get up early to watch a show in Ottawa. When we reached the place, the posters of the two characters are all over the place. So he began to ask me if we will be watching Toopy and Binoo? I said "yes", but deep inside I got a bit disappointed. I was hoping that he wouldn't know until he sees Toopy and Binoo walking in front of him. Then he asked, "but mom, where's the TV?" AHA! so we're still on! all good all good. LOL.
Fifteen minutes before the show, there was a playtime with the hosts which I thought will be a playtime with the characters. But anyhow, the hosts were good. Hands down.
Then 11 am, Toopy and Binoo came out, the kids were mesmerized! It was so amazing how these characters can do magic to these kids.
There were giveaways after the show (a playdoh and a growth chart) plus 2 free issues of canadian family magazine. The show lasted for 30 minutes. Imagine, 2 hours drive for a 30 minute show? we're psychos! Anyway, my son had a great time, that's all that matters for now.

Tey! that was just last long weekend, sayang! I find Toopy and Binoo annoying actually hehehhehe but like naman sha ng son ko so okay na din lol.
First of, the place looks so similar as Glorietta, I had to really read about it and...
I bet Andrew was so happy to see the characters... and mommy had a great shopping spree after? I bet!
Litzie! you're right, it certainly is similar to Glorietta, but I'd say Glorietta is waaayyy better than St. Laurent Center. Like 10 points higher. SLC looks a bit old for me, I don't know, maybe I just really don't like Ottawa that much hahaha!
